At Alex Allan Integrated we specialize in three areas of teenage/youth training. We train overweight teens for fat loss and body composition change, those looking to get started with safe and effective strength training programs in the gym, and athletes on school teams who are looking for integrated performance training to get them to the next level.
With the rise of childhood obesity it is more important than ever to teach our youth the skills necessary for healthy weight maintenance and a life long balance between proper nutrition and activity. We offer safe and highly effective guidance/training to teens in search of short term weight loss and long term strategies for continuance.
We also offer a one of a kind 'preparatory' program for teens who are looking to get started properly with strength training in the gym. There is no bad advice from body-building magazines here! At Alex Allan Integrated we assess the teen and determine any postural, core, and stabilization issues before the first training session. The program is created by applying specific training techniques that reflect the findings of the assessment. From this program posture is improved, the deep core muscles are conditioned properly, and the joints are stabilized to reduce the risk of injury. With this base, the teen is then taught the mechanics and form of proper lifting and program design. The principals that the teen takes with them are invaluable, and can be applied successfully to any future training programs.
At Alex Allan Integrated we believe that for a good athlete to become a great one, it's the details that matter. Our service for young athletes goes beyond sports specific training and what you might see on a TV commercial for running shoes. We make sure that the body has minimal restrictions, imbalances, and weaknesses before our young athletes get going. For example, because we understand that lower leg and ankle imbalances can lead to decreased balance, power output, and agility; we take the time to balance the body first. This reduces strains and injury as well as preparing our youth athletes for creative and effective sports/specific training.
